Nursery & Natives

Ancient beings that were here in this landscape millions of years before we humans arrived, Native Plants and Trees are superbly adapted to their ecosystem. They require almost no maintenance, and as primary producers, they play a vital role in supporting a myriad range of life forms from fungii to insects to birds and large mammals.

One of our key objectives at Shasya Shyamala Trust is to bring an awareness in the general public about the invaluable ecosystem services proffered by indigenous plants of this region in Karnataka.

We offer native plants as gifts at our presentations so children can plant these wondrous creatures and watch them grow.
